Michael is a long term resident of Japan, with an established career in Executive Search. His main areas of focus have been Marketing and Advertising with a specialization for consulting with recent startups in the Japan market. As a natural connector Michael brings Japanese specific client management skills to Minehub and will translate these into growth and stability for Minehub Japan. Michael’s academic background is in Accounting and Taxation Law.

Dale McAllister is a technology-driven entrepreneur with decades of experience across mining, FMCG, and Retail. Based in Asia for over 25 years, Dale draws on extensive startup and corporate experience across the Region. He has held Vice President, and Director roles in multinationals as well as initiating start-up businesses. With a background in innovation, change, and program management, and a commitment to customer service, Dale is passionate about using technology to drive great business outcomes for partners.

Li Na is a multilingual entrepreneur focusing on Sino-Europe cross-border funds and emerging market investment initiatives. Prior to joining Minehub, Li was the Chief Representative in Europe of HongTai a leading Chinese investment group. She initiated a Sino-Europe private equity platform, representing the world-famous private equity event IPEM in China and working closely with high-rank governments, national financial institutions, banks, asset management companies, and service providers in China, France, and Luxembourg. She holds a PhD degree in AI from UTT France, speaking Chinese English and French fluently. With a multicultural and technology background, Li has extensive experience advising cross-border technology projects development and has built up a high-ranking wide range network both in China and Europe.

Rachel has over 15 years’ experience with PwC China, where she has been a key member of the Innovations and Disruptions Group in Risk Assurance, responsible for supporting initiatives in relation to emerging technologies including blockchain, RPA and AI, as well as supporting the Assurance Digitalisation initiatives in China. Rachel is a member of the core team leading Blockchain initiatives in Hong Kong and China, working with traditional enterprises, technology start-ups, and incubators/accelerators in the Blockchain domain. Rachel worked with a wide range of commercial and public sector clients, including conglomerates, state-owned enterprises and domestic companies. Rachel has developed close working relationship with several major government regulators, including the China Ministry of Finance (MOF), China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC), and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC).

Ralph is an experienced business analyst in the blockchain industry covering finance, gas & supply chain sectors. He has also previously worked as a project manager and scrum master in esports software development. He is currently working as a Business Analyst focusing on improving the customer journey for Minehub customers.

Rieke Smakman is a Dutch lawyer drawing from 20+ years of experience in international and domestic corporate and commercial litigation, arbitration and deal-making. Rieke started her career with Baker & McKenzie Amsterdam, and went on to co-found a Netherlands-based boutique law firm that earned international acclaim for its successes in Art Restitution. Early 2018, Rieke transitioned from private law practice to pursue her interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology and opportunities to innovate international trade. Rieke has since held general counsel positions in technology start-ups in the blockchain domain and banking industry, and consulted numerous blockchain initiatives as independent legal counsel. Rieke holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands, and regularly sits as an arbitrator in corporate and commercial disputes.

Sacha Konan brings over 25 years of experience in commodity trading. He has led, built, grown, transformed, sold and integrated businesses across energy, metals, shipping and agriculture with Cargill and Macquarie. Starting in various agricultural trading roles in Amsterdam he moved in 2000 to Cargill’s global trading headquarters in Geneva. In the early 2000’s Sacha was building out the Capesize business in the Ocean Transportation Division where he was running at its peak a 70mio mt shipping book. From 2009 to 2014 Sacha went on to lead Cargill’s Global Metals business from Singapore where he was instrumental in transforming Cargill’s iron ore and steel trading business into a global leader. In 2014 Sacha returned to Geneva to lead and integrate Cargill’s Petroleum and Petrochemical businesses, which under his leadership were eventually sold to Macquarie group. He subsequently led and integrated the petroleum business into Macquarie’s commodities platform after which he provided strategy and leadership support to Macquarie’s Metals & Bulk businesses. Since February Sacha embarked on new avenues as investor and advisor to various commodity businesses.

Heike is a Non-Executive Director of global shipping company Clarkson plc. Until April 2020 Heike was an Executive at Anglo American plc for 11 years, most recently as Executive Head of Commercial Services. She was a member of the Executive Leadership Team of the Marketing Business Unit, which runs global marketing, sales, trading and distribution. She oversaw strategy and projects, coordinated all logistics and market analytics, and was responsible for offices in China and India. Heike drove the digital transformation of Anglo American’s global Marketing/Trading business. Heike joined Anglo American at the beginning of 2009 and was Group Head of Strategy for 5 years. She set and implemented Board level strategy, and led the £5bn acquisition of De Beers and its integration into Anglo American. Previously, Heike was a Management Consultant, advising on strategic and operational issues across multiple industries in Europe and Australasia.

Dr. Andor Lips brings over 25 years of experience in mining project development, mineral trade, and mining finance. He provides strategic, business development, and governance advise, whilst integrating financing and technical business requirements and opportunities. Andor worked until recently for Eldorado Gold as VP European Strategy & Corporate Sustainability, and was previously holding senior positions with ING Bank N.V., the Commodity Discovery Fund, Lydian International Ltd, and the French Bureau of Mines. He holds a Doctorate and a Masters of Science in Geology from the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands. Over the past decade he is a solicited expert by the European Commission for research and innovation in the minerals industry.

Joseph Nakhla is the Founder and CEO of bazinga! Technologies Inc. one of the world’s largest condo management solutions provider. Mr. Nakhla is also the founder of Eli Technologies, an AI solution for Real Estate transactions and Tribe Management, one of BC’s largest Property Solutions provider. Prior to bazinga!, Joseph was the Chief Operations Officer of one of Canada’s largest cloud–based payment processors, TIO Networks, which was acquired by Paypal in 2017. Joseph studied Civil and Structural Engineering and Executive Business Management at BCIT.

Guy Halford–Thompson is a thought leader and entrepreneur in the Canadian technology ecosystem. Over the last five years Guy has launched several successful public and private ventures, raising over $30m CAD in funding and building over $500m in investor value. Guy is a founder of BTL Group , the world’s first public blockchain company, and sits on the board of leading Canadian technology companies covering blockchain, real estate and esports markets.

David Garofalo to his current role as Chairman & CEO of the Marshall Precious Metals Fund, David was President & CEO and Director of Goldcorp (2016-2019), President & CEO and Director of Hudbay from 2010, Senior Vice President and CFO and Director of Agnico-Eagle from 1998 and Treasurer of Inmet Mining from 1990. David was recognized as The Northern Miner’s Mining Person of the Year for 2012. He was also awarded as Canada’s CFO of the Year by Financial Executives International Canada (2009) and Top Gun CFO by Brendan Wood International (2009 and 2010) and was recognized by IR Magazine with awards for Best Investor Relations by a CFO (2009 and 2010) and Best Investor Relations by a CEO (2011). David earned designations as a Canadian Chartered Public Accountant and a Certified Director of the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.

Mr. Cooper is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in all aspects of corporate and financial management. For the past 35 years, Mr. Cooper has been providing strategic and financial advice and corporate administration services, and has held senior positions with a number of public and private companies with local and international operations. He was formerly CEO and a director of a ship-construction project with a budget in excess of $400 million, and Director of Finance & Administration at a shipyard that had employed over 1,000 workers. He has a Hons. Bachelor of Accounting and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia.

Hugh Halford-Thompson is a software entrepreneur and investor with over 8 years experience in the blockchain sector. Hugh is a founder of BTL Group the world’s first public blockchain company and QuickBitcoin, the largest UK bitcoin brokerage. Hugh has launched several technology businesses and has experience selling and deploying innovative blockchain solutions to consortiums of the world’s biggest enterprises in energy and banking.

Mathijs Bulten has over 20 years of experience in digital transformation. Prior to joining Minehub, he was a director within Deloitte responsible for process automation using innovative technologies like artificial intelligence, low-code tooling, and robotics. Mathijs has led large programs in Operations, Finance, Compliance and Customer excellence in financial institutions in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He comes from an entrepreneurial background, studied logistics, and holds an MBA.

Mr. Sorace is a mining entrepreneur with over 25 years of international business and capital markets experience. Mr. Sorace has financed and led several resource companies with assets in the U.S., Canada and Europe, and has raised over $200M in equity and debt financings for public and private entities. He has been the founder, served as a Director and held CEO positions for numerous companies with extensive experience in development, management and public company governance in the resource and alternative energy sectors.

Arnoud Star Busmann is one of the pioneers in the intersection of commodities, finance and blockchain technology. Prior to joining Minehub, he was the Innovation lead for Commodities at ING Bank where he led the cross-industry initiative ‘Easy Trading Connect” that spawned projects like VAKT and komgo. Arnoud is an all-round executive with tech DNA, and has over 20 years experience in strategy execution, enterprise transformation and “blue chip” startups. After obtaining a master’s degree in Computer Science from the Netherlands, he lived and worked across Europe, Asia and Oceania.
